Service Learning Project:
Title: Environmental PSA about Recycling click here.
Description: I worked in a team to use my Flash CS5 skills to create a Public Service Announcement about recycling.
Reflection: This project showcased Technological Literacy by using my software skills to design and code a Flash project, and embed it into my website. Also, I was socially responsible by sharing these effects and damages of not recycling to the students at my school, it was shared with the parents and teachers in our community.
Community Service:
Title: Title 1 Office Assistant
Location: James A. Foshay Learning Center
Description: Completed 32 hours of community service while supplying materials to the NASA program in school, distributing papers, and arranging paperwork in the office.
Connection: I aided Ms. Avalos with paperwork in the office. By assisting at the Title 1 Office I used my skills as an effective communicator in order to communicate with Ms. Avalos.
Title: Halloween Carnival Helper
Location: Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School
Description: Completed 3 hours of community service while assisting children on how to play bowling.
Connection: I managed a bowling booth in the carnival. I was able to use my skills as an effective communicator to aid the children on how to play the game and cared for each of them while they played the game.
